Specific Situation Scripture

Comfort

He who dwells in the shelter of thte Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty, I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
(Ps. 91:1-2)

Oh Lord, you have searched me and you know ome.  You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar.  You discern my going out andy my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways.
(Ps. 139:1-3)

Gossip

Through the blessing of thte upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.  A man who lacks judgment derides his neighbor, but a man of understanding holds his tongue.  A gossip beetrays a confidence, but a trustworthy man keeps a secret.
(Prov. 11:11-13)

Coveting and Priorities

For we brought nothing into into the world, and we can taken nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing we will be content with that.  People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge men into ruin and destruction.  For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have pierced themselves with many griefts.
(1 Tim. 6:7-10)

“No one can serve two masters.  Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.  You cannot serve both God and Money.”
(Matt. 6:33)

Death-Eternal Life

Then I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write:  Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord for now on.”  “Yes, says the Spirit, “they will rest from their labor, for their deeds will lfollow them.”

Worry and Anxiety

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.  And thet peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
(Phil. 4:6-7)

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of the Father who is in heaven.  Many will say to me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’  Then I will tell them plainly, “I never knew you.  Away from me, you evildoers!’ “
(Matt. 7:24-27)

Self-Control and Self-Discipline

Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.  (Prov. 25:28)

A fool gives full vent to his anger, but a wise man keeps himself under control.  (Prov. 29:11)

Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.  Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be  slanderers or addicted to much wind, but to teach what is good.  Then they can train the younger women to love their husgands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that nonone will malign the word of God.  Similary, encourage the young ment to be self-controlled.
(Titus 2:2-6)

Salvation

…if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead , you will be saved.  For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.  As the Scripture says,  “Everyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame.”  For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richlyy blesses all who call on him, for, “everyone who calls on the mane of the Lord will be saved.”
(Rom. 10:9-13)

It is important that as you read God’s Word that you accept that you do not and cannot not understand everything.  Some things are known only to God and we, as Christians, will know the answers only after we are sitting at the Thrown of God.

Remember, not one of us is worthy of God’s Salvation.  If we got what we deserved we wouild all go to hell.  You may ask, “Does a criminal, one who has committed the worst of crimes, go to heaven?”  ANSWER:  Most certainly, if they have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal savior.  From experience, I have dealt with some of our nation’s most infamous killers and I can tell you without a single reservation, that some found the Lord while in prison, confessed their sins, and have already or will go to be with God at their time of death.
I have also been told, “I am good person I know I will go to heaven.”  ANSWER:  If you believe in God you must read and believe His Word.  His Word says that we do not go to heaven by being good, we only go to heaven by being saved.”

I am afraid that many people that physically attend church services regularly will not go to heaven.  Likewise, I believe that many that have never got to a “brick and mortal” church will inherit the Kingdom of God.  Attending church is important, it’s written in the Bible, but it is no more a sin for one not to attend a formal service than it is to commit other sins.  Remember, we have all sinned.  It may not be the same sin as your neighbor you and I have sinned nevertheless.

Do I, a preacher deserve heaven?  ANSWER:  Absolutely not, and, yes, there will be preachers in hell.  Again, one must be “saved,” nothing more nothing less, in order to receive the Grace that only God provides, and it is this acceptance of His Grace that makes it possible for us to enter His kingdom.  Acts, goodness and holding one’s self out to be a Christian in name only, without Salvation, are worth nothing.
